Perfection In Life

I attended one of the usrahs organised by my group but it was a long while back. Took some notes. The tazkirah was on perfections in life. Of course as human beings we can't be perfect only Allah s.w.t. is perfect but we can try to achieve perfection to a point Allah is pleased with us. Whatever I write needs to be looked up further in proper references. There are 4 levels of perfection in life so the ustaz said:

1. Ukkwah

The bonding and realtionship formed for the sake of Allah s.w.t.

8:63

Sahih International
And brought together their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together; but Allah brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise.

2.Saddiq & Tawadhu'

Be truthful in life. No lies.... & to be humble in search of Allah's mercy. The opposite is being arrogant with Allah's gifts to us.

3. Tazkiah

Tazkiah originally meant pruning the plant – to remove what is harmful for its growth. When the term is applied to the human personality, it means to beautify it and to remove from it all evil traces and spiritual diseases that are obstacles in experiencing Allah.

or

Literally the term encompasses two meanings: one is to cleanse and purify from adulterants, while the other is to improve and develop towards the height of perfection. Technically it conveys the sense of checking oneself from erroneous tendencies and beliefs and turning them to the path of virtue and piety (fear of God's displeasure) and developing it to attain the stage of perfection.

4. Tarbiah

Tarbiyah (i.e. the education and upbringing of the people). This starts first of all with the education and training of our own selves, then of our families, and then of the community at large. But this tarbiyah is most important with respect to our children, so that they are brought up upon the correct path of Islam. Because of this, many of the scholars take care in discussing this aspect of tarbiyah more so than the others.

Kept these notes for so long. I wanted to read more to elaborate but time is not on my side. Towards perfection to please Allah s.w.t.
