My Little Ones - Guide From Surah Luqman

In my mind, an understanding of what is in the Quran from an early age is important. Do not have in your mind to be good because Mummy and Daddy told you so. I am certain Allah do not impose religion upon us to make life difficult  for us to abide, to the righteous path. For my Little Ones (including my 20 year old baby, who will be leaving home soon ) this is a  summarised guide to follow from Surah Luqman:

31:12 - Be grateful to Allah (bersyukur kepada Allah);
31:13 - Do not associate anything with Allah ( janganlah mempersekutukan Allah)
31:14 - Be grateful to your parents (berbuat baik kepada kedua ibu bapa mu)
31:15 - If asked to associate Allah with another, do not obey but treat them with kindness yet follow those who repent (jika keduanya memaksa kamu mempersekutukan Allah, maka janganlah kamu mengikutnya, pergaulilah keduanya didunia dengan baik, tujulah kejalan bersama orang yang bertaubat)
31:16 - Allah is all Knowing even if your kindness is as small as a mustard seed, you will be rewarded (jika ada perbuatan sebesar biji sawi tersembunyi pun nescaya Allah akan membalasnya)
31:17 - Establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you (dirikan solat, kerjakan yang baik, tinggalkan yang mungkar, bersabar atas segala musibah dan bersabar dalam hal-hal yang diwajibkan)
31:18 - Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.(jangan sombong, jangan angkuh)
31:19 - Be moderate in your pace and lower your voice (sederhanalah bila berjalan dan lunakan suara)

Follow these guide, insyallah you will be among the priceless assets left behind.

Surah Luqman
31:12
Sahih International
And We had certainly given Luqman wisdom [and said], "Be grateful to Allah ." And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever denies [His favor] - then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
31:13
Sahih International
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allah . Indeed, association [with him] is great injustice."
31:14
Sahih International
And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.
31:15
Sahih International
But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.
31:16
Sahih International
[And Luqman said], "O my son, indeed if wrong should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted.
31:17
Sahih International
O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] determination.
31:18
Sahih International
And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.
31:19
Sahih International
And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys."
