Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in Ramadhan

I have been part of the management team setting up of a new organisation and one of the major exercise is to develop procedures for appraisal and promotion. Adopting the same concept to our spiritual enhancement, we should have set KPIs for ourselves for the month of Ramadhan. Thus we can evaluate whether we have achieved our set KPIs...

A cousin of mine literally tabulated his ibadah when he performed his Hajj listing all the ibadah activities that will enhance his Iman. Likewise we can do the same for Ramadhan as per below (just as example):

On the other hand, we can also take it as a test to evaluate our effort in enhancing our iman. All done quietly to maintain sincerity in our Ibadah to Allah. Listening to an Ustaz recently these were some of the questions he asked.

Q1. What is the nikmat/rewards in the act of fasting?
Q2. What are the benefits of providing food for Iftar?
Q3. What do you understand by the night of Lailatul Qadr?
Q4. What stops us from being consistent in our Ibadah?

Find the answers.

How would we give ourselves scores for all ibadah in Ramadhan?

1. Fasting =  ? /100

2. Quran Reading = ?/100

3. Solat Terawikh = ?/100

4. Solat Taubat =  ?/100

5. Solat Tahajudd =  ?/100

6. Solat Tasbih =  ?/100

7. Zikir =  ?/100

8. Sadaqah/Charity =  ?/100

9. Qiamulail = ?/100

If you passed them with flying colours, then Alhamdulillah. The Ustaz also said for some of us who do not do them diligently, it's because we do not know the rewards that comes with the Ibadah. He also said that his father always asked him to wonder if he is going to live to the next solat (example bet zohor and asar), for if we ask ourselves that then we would not procrastinate and we would want to finish tasks immediately just in case we may not live to the next solat  scheduled time. Thus we would try our best during each period to excel.

The above method is to objectively see if we really have tried our best or to see if our best is good enough so that we can keep improving ourselves. For some who went out to the help the needy, that's ibadah too. Today is the 26 Ramadhan, am still struggling, may Allah forgive me if I have not done enough and may he accept our Ibadah, taubat and grant us Jannah for the things we have done. Ameen.
