Kemah Keming Ustaz Azhar Idrus vs Road Safety

If you have been following the programme on Astro 'Kemah Keming Ustaz Azhar Idrus', the masjid is full of people young and old alike. However it is noticeable that there are many youngsters in the crowd. My question? Is part of the young crowd who attended Ustaz Azhar Idrus tazkirah involved with rempit activities or could they be the reckless young drivers. If the answer is no, then we need many more Ustaz Azhar Idruses. Tazkirahs are suppose to change us inside, from the core within to something good.

Every year approximately 6,800 people die on Malaysian roads. 60% of them are motorcyclists and a high percentage are between the age of 16-25 years old. Parents who buy their young children motorbikes actually increase the chances of their children dying on the road. Still trying to get my team to develop the risk index. So parents go ahead buy your children motorbikes as birthday presents or the likes, if you don't love them enough. Of course you may say how else can they go to school or College. Your choice, there's always the bus, commuters, LRT..... of course the inadequate and inefficient services maybe so you say.

To add insult to injury, there are the big bikers who think they are a different breed altogether from the kapcai. Are they? Wow and they love convoying for breakfast in Cameron Highlands, Bukit Tinggi and the likes. Seriously!??

What is it that can really change the behaviour of roadusers, drivers, riders, bus drivers, commercial vehicle drivers and others? Would listening to a popular Ustaz like Ustaz Azhar do the job? Campaigns doesn't seem to work, AES too doesn't seem to jive with the people. There's even a group who call themselves 'anti saman ekor' whatchamacallit. Truly a joke! Best still blame it on the roads and low enforcement.

Good luck people. A developed country by 2020 with third world mentality and a high death rate on our roads. Developed indeed! Just expressing my frustration -I mean every word I say though.
